Welcome to Trinity Baptist Church, a Bible based church in Indio. We are located at 44550 Monroe Street in Indio, CA, in the heart of the Coachella Valley.
Why is having a local, Bible based church important? We aren’t meant to do Christianity on our own. By being part of a local church that loves God’s Word and features teaching based on the Bible, we have the support of other Christians who are also working out their faith according to the Bible each day.
What Does it Mean to be a Bible Based Church?
Bible based churches use Scripture to guide everything they are and everything they do. The teaching and Bible Study is based on the Word of God. This is our goal here at Trinity.
Bible based churches also believe that the Word of God is inerrant. As seen in our statement of faith, we believe that the Bible is the Word of God, fully inspired and without error in the original manuscripts.
We believe the Bible was written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, and that it has supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct. (II Timothy 3:16; II Peter 1:21)
Trinity Baptist Church: A Bible Based Church in Indio
Trinity Baptist Church in Indio sprang out of a Bible study that was meeting locally before World War II, a midweek activity of some of the members of a church in Thermal. Several years later, they wanted to have a Baptist church in Indio and started Trinity Baptist in 1948, ultimately joining what became Converge Worldwide (formerly the Baptist General Conference.)
In the many years since, our church in Indio has hosted countless Bible-based Sunday services, Vacation Bible Schools, and Bible Studies. Trinity Baptist has always placed a priority in faithfully teaching the Bible.
Most sermons that you hear from Trinity are considered expository preaching or exegetical preaching, meaning that the Bible is the basis of the preaching, and is not used out of context or to prove a point. These messages are easy to understand and challenge you to live out the Bible in your life.
