Since 2020, the people of Trinity have done an excellent job of respecting the rules and each other as we have tried to minimize the impact of COVID in our congregation and community. While COVID isn’t quite in our rearview mirror, we can begin to make some changes as we live with COVID being part of our everyday life.
With COVID cases on the decline, and the absence of a mask mandate in Riverside County, we are ready to change our mask policy. Effective immediately, in most activities at church, masks are optional.
Masks are also optional for our children’s activities and our youth group, effectively immediately.
Regardless of how someone feels about wearing masks, we are to show respect, love, and kindness to each other. Not everyone has the same approach to COVID, and it doesn’t make them a worse or better Christian for it.
If you need to wear a mask because you are at higher risk for severe illness, or would like to wear one out of caution, you are more than welcome to do so! We have room in the sanctuary for distancing, and we have masks available in the foyer for those who would like to wear one.
If you are more comfortable not wearing a mask, you have the option not to. Please respect the space of others who are wearing a mask.
Regardless of how you feel about wearing a mask, one of the best steps we can take to prevent COVID in our congregation is to stay home if you or someone you live with is sick or has been asked to quarantine. We will continue with our livestream and our sermon line.
For the foreseeable future, we will also continue with hand sanitizer stations, digital and paper bulletins, individually wrapped communion, and the offering box instead of offering plate.
The nursery is not open at this time. We provide an activity bulletin for the children who remain in the service, but you may want to bring additional quiet activities for the duration of the service. The church office is open by appointment. Do you have questions about this? Please e-mail us or call the church office at 760-347-0604.
Please be open to returning to masks and other restrictions as local conditions and regulations might merit.
Let’s use this time ahead to show welcome, love, and grace to each other in our church and beyond!
